Blogging has been very good to me over the last twelve and a half years, but it’s come at a personal cost that I’m sure many can relate to.

5 big mistakes made by Bloggers.
If you have just joined the blogging community or if you have been blogging for a short time and notice that things don't turn out as you planned, it would be worth your time to spend some time learning the typical errors that bloggers create, errors that make it challenging to appreciate what should be an enjoyable, rewarding experience: blogging!
The five recent blogger errors that are most popular are:
Diving in there (rather than wading in)
Having impractical standards
Losing the Emphasis
Plagiarize
Ignoring the reader
Hey! Diving in! Some bloggers are too excited to get underway that they plunge in rather than carefully wading in. It's an accident in an unknown swimming pool or pond and it's a failure while joining a new arena, such as the 'blogosphere.' Before you launch your blog, remember these things:
For your blog, find a subject. A concentration that represents what you understand, what concerns you and what you love to talk about and write about. There are no out-of-bound subjects: politics, philosophy, science, sexual identity, comedy, fitness, food, sickness, etc., etc.
Take the time to browse hundreds of various blogs: to get an understanding of what applies to you, take note of the colours, graphics and layouts. It can also be remembered that some blogs are long-winded and others are short. Others are just entertaining and chatty and have no real point to make. This is a personal look that you can choose, too.
You need a blog host, some are free, some charge their service a small amount every month, some are easy to use and some need more technical expertise, some have more features than others; chose carefully, after you have built your blog and have a few daily followers, you may not want to update your address (your URL).
You may or may not wish to use your real name on your blog, which depends on several things, not least your view on contentious topics and how you want your views to be publicly known.
Unrealistic anticipations! You can be frustrated if you came to blogging expecting immediate results: a broad readership and many complimentary comments. Tens of thousands of bloggers are competing for the same audience online. On your side, patience and tenacity are key. If you write well, find a special niche to fill, have enticing titles for your blogs, and promote the readership and feedback (some of which will be complimentary) will come to your blog tirelessly.
Losing concentration! You had a clear reason for doing so when you started your blog; it may have been to share your thoughts on a subject or simply to talk about your everyday events with a close group of friends. For the first time, readers can come to your blog and either be interested in your subject matter or not, will like your style or not, and they will comment whether they like your subject and style and then come back later. You are free to change it after you have developed a subject and tone for your blog, but to do so you are effectively starting all over.
Be mindful that, under a separate identity, you can have more than one blog, each dedicated to a single subject and each one, if you like.
To plagiarize! There are some fantastic bloggers out there and you might meet one that said something really interesting, something that resonated with you and something you want to add in your journal while you surf through blogs. DON'T simply copy and paste the words of others in your blog without crediting them, making it seem like the words are yours to the world. When you write it, write it and write it best in your own terms, add your own opinions and emotions and then be humble, note where you got the idea and have a link.
To forget the reader! Some of the people who read your blog will leave comments; some readers may agree with you and your insights will even be commended by some readers, but most will pick and criticize an argument you have made. For the same intention as they write, people leave feedback on other sites to share thoughts and express their points of view. Often respond to the comments of your readers; thank them for reading and taking the time to comment (even serious critics) and then respond to their comments as necessary. Your followers can end up avoiding your blog if you ignore your comments.
